for me, slang is something i usually do not pay much attention to. a lot of people i know and love use slang. they like to shorten words and use popular abbreviations instead of typing out the correct spelling.
now, i don't really have a major problem with people who use slang like this:
because you know, a person who writes like this most probably doesn't want to waste any time in expressing how cute they think a random orange-haired girl is. they shorten their words to save time. at least their short forms are understandable.
but when it comes to stuff like this, i DO pay attention:
yeah. IF YOU TYPE LIKE THIS, I WILL FIND YOU AND KILL YOU. i do not see any point in elongating a word and adding extra letters to it, especially when the word in question is something that looks completely fine on its own and is relatively easier to type.
another thing that extremely annoys me is when people use alternative (and nonexistent) spellings as different versions of words, which are essentially useless because they have the same amount of alphabets as the original word.
unfortunate and totally real examples:
you = yew
cool = kewl

time = tyme
DUDE WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM. or should i say 'prawblm'? yeah, WOT IX UR PR0BLM HUH?! this kind of stuff looks gruesome. towtaly grewsumm.

LOOOLLL!!! I hate seeing people do that too. Instead of saying though, people will say 'doe'. It looks so stupid and uneducated.
If I'm on Meez.com(which is really fun by the way. You should make one and we can chill together) and someone talks like that, I just say, "What? Sorry, I can't understand you. Speak proper English please."

LOL I love this post. I have just done an English degree, and when I log onto Facebook and see people type like that, I just have the urge to correct them. It's so annoying. Abbreviating is fine, but they just add extra letters and I find it so difficult to understand. It's stupid! xxx

hahaha I am in it with you on this one. So Annoying. I used to be a such a good proper sentence typing guy. My faults usually lie in not proof reading my writings(i never re-read my exam sheets even to utter annoyance of my parents :P) hence end up making annoying mistakes like Their instead of there to name the most common one. Back in 1999 when I learnt Proper Typing was when I was used to typing complete words.*sigh*.

Well, I still use slang and abbreviations but I hope I don't write stuff like "cutexxxx" and stuff =P Sometimes I put a totally inappropriate/useless "s" and "z" behind a word to make it "sound" funny or just to make me sound dumb and internet-sy.
(eg: Canz I haz a cookiez)
and me and some of my friends hv this "thing" where we use "sh" instead of "s" (eg: shooo, whatcha doin?)
I shall keep in mind to write my abbreviations as easy to read as possible =P
and no, thank god I don't write fb statuses like the one you mentioned.

OMG I HATE THEM TOO!!! Those alternating capital letters and additional characters, which are unnecessary, are cause of a major headache! Here, people who type like that are called "jejemons". I don't know how the term was coined. So they're called "jejemons", and that annoying language they use is called "jejenese".

It's funny because, me being in the WEst have friends from Pakistan, US, CAnada, UK and everywhere else that I have family and friends. And it's only the ones in PK that type like DiZs! You can tell right away, they're prolly living in PK or freshly off the boat if they type like that! It doesnt even make sense! Why would you type like that. Waste your time. and at the end it doesnt even make sene!!!?!
